| Waste oil is quite literally the oil that is drained from a vehicle's crankcase during an oil change. Lube shops are required to collect this oil and arrange for proper disposal. If you need to purchase some or all of your waste oil there are waste oil suppliers in every state. The rate of waste oil is holding steady at about $.40 to .50/gallon delivered! Because waste oil is truly a waste product that cannot be safely dumped into the ground, landfills or waterways, commercial entities that generate large quantities of waste oil must typically pay a third party for proper disposal. The cost of waste oil does not fluctuate with the cost of other petroleum products but rather is determined by ONE FACTOR: the prerogative of the Recycler who is paid to pick up the waste oil, filters it and makes it available for resale. | |

| Each Heatwave Furnace comes included with the following items: Owner's Manual by TOM KAGI, Tank strainer (½ or ¾), 1-way check valve, 100-micron filter, vacuum gauge, Low volt wall thermostat, Barometric dampner and a Kagi 250 or 500 multi-fueled burner and pumps also available on some models. | |
| Can I install the Heatwave Furnace with the KAGI Burner myself ? | |
| YES! But we recommend all installations be done and certified by a licensed heating contractor, following all local, state and national building, fire and storage regulations. | |
| Can I install the waste oil furnace in my home ? | |
| Waste oil furnaces are not UL approved for use inside a residential structure. However, forced air furnaces can be ducted into the home if installed in a separate outbuilding or shed near the home. In addition, the home can be equipped with a remote outside boiler system for the purpose of generating hydronic heat from waste oil. Please ask your KAGI dealer for more details. | |
| What sort of regular service or maintenance can I anticipate ? | |
| Maintenance typically consists of vacuuming residual ash and dust from inside the dual clean out doors in order to maximize efficiency. Total time to clean averages less than 30 minutes.
